The Theatre Arts program and its students are served by five full-time theatre arts faculty and several part-time faculty members who teach courses within the theatre arts major, within the general education offerings of the college, and serve as guest faculty directors and designers for our theatre arts production season. Full faculty bios, areas of specialty, and classes taught are specified in each instructor’s faculty profile. The program also benefits from the work and contributions of our college laboratory technicians who support the work in our department, classrooms, and studio spaces.

Full-Time Faculty

    • Professor Scott Cally, MFA: Lead Professor in Design & Technology; Resident Lighting Designer; current Chairperson of the Department of Communications and Performing Arts.
    • Professor Jessica Corbin, MM: Lead Professor in Musical Theatre Voice & Music Theory; Resident Musical Director & Accompanist; Co-Coordinator for College Now Humanities 100

    • Colleen Kesterson, BFA: Introduction to Costume and Make-Up and serves as guest faculty costume designer.
    • Victoria Neal, MFA: Introduction to Theatre Design & Technology and Fundamentals of Theatrical Lighting.
    • Jay Michaels, MA: Foundations in Theatre Arts, Kingsborough Early College Secondary School
    • Anne Stella Weaverling, MFA: Full-Time Lecturer in Speech Communication; Teaches both Acting 1 and Foundations in Theatre Arts for the theatre arts program.
