KCC is committed to taking the proper safety measures as we follow guidance and safety guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York State Department of Health. Our plans include limited capacity on campus,  and requires mandatory daily health screenings, appropriate social distancing, protective face coverings, and continuous cleaning and disinfection of the facilities.

 Academic Penalty Removal for WU grade Effective Fall 2021check

A withdrawal after the financial aid certification date or program adjustment period is assigned the grade of “WD” (Dropped) or “WN” (Never Participated), or “W” (Withdrew) or “WU” (Withdrew Unofficially). Currently WD, W, WN are not academically punitive grade i.e., these grades do not impact student GPA. For Title IV purpose University uses our Grading policy (this document) for compliance with R2T4 regulations. Effective Fall 2021, WU grade will not have punitive impact on student’s GPA. WU grade will continue to be used to denote Unofficial Withdrawal. This Policy shall supersede and override all undergraduate and graduate program-level grading change policies currently in effect at CUNY colleges and schools.

The “Are You Ready?” online readiness course is designed to prepare you for taking an online course. Whether your courses are hybrid, synchronous or asynchronous, this course will cover a variety of topics to help you navigate in an online environment. The “Are You Ready?" course can be found in your Blackboard account under “My Organizations”. You will receive a certificate once it is completed.

Please note: Fall 2021 classes are subject to change as Kingsborough Community College must adhere to COVID-19 protocols regarding In-Person instruction.

Kingsborough Community College is planning for limited capacity at its campus. While safety protocols remain, we anticipate returning to campus with limited access to other spaces and facilities throughout the campus.

The Academic Schedule will consist of three types of instruction modes: In Person, Hybrid, and Online.

check Check The Cleared4 CUNY Access Pass

KCC students whose fully-vaccinated status has been submitted, verified and approved are now eligible to receive a CUNY Access Pass that allows you quick entry into CUNY facilities. This access pass was previously provided by Everbridge but, going forward, will be provided by Cleared4. 

To register: 

  1. Find the email from entitled Cleared for CUNY Access that was sent to your primary email account 

  2.  Click on the personal link in the email to begin registration with Cleared4

  3.  Once in Cleared4, read and accept the disclaimer

  4. Provide the personal information requested

  5. Click on the “Show Access Pass” button to attain your Cleared4 CUNY Access Pass 

Once you have registered for your Cleared4 pass (also referred to as the CUNY Access Pass, Cleared for CUNY Access Pass or GreenPass), you can delete your Everbridge VaxPass, as it will no longer be accepted as proof of vaccination at CUNY entry points after you register. 

For quick entry to KCC and CUNY facilities, show your Cleared4 CUNY Access Pass in one of the following four ways:

  1. Screenshot on your device

  2. Personal link on your device

  3. QR Code on your device, or a

  4. Printout of your screenshoot

You must register with Cleared4 to obtain your new CUNY Access Pass. You won't need to upload any information. Your vaccine verification has already been done.

The KCC Bookstore will be open to students between the hours of 9am – 3pm.  In keeping with social distancing guidelines and in the best interest of everyone's safety, our staff will serve as personal shoppers for those who would like to purchase their essentials in person at the store.

Fall B Session:  6-week Classes Run Monday, January 3 - Wednesday, February 23, 2022
Winter at Kingsborough is the perfect time to catch up, pull ahead, or stay on track so you can graduate on time. You can take up to 2 classes or 8 credits during the 6-week session. View the Fall B (Winter) Session academic calendar. 

Fall classes are almost all fully online. The Schedule of Classes has been converted in CUNYFirst to reflect how each section of each course will be taught.  Each section has an “Instruction Mode” listed as either “online”, “hybrid” or “in-person”.

IN PERSON: Only Maritime Technology classes are all in-person classes
