Wave Cap Wednesday

 

Be a Part of #WaveCapWednesday!

 

The Kingsborough Wave Cap, designed by KCC student Olivia Hercules, an art major graduating in June, pays tribute to our iconic wave logo and symbolizes a gesture of "waving” to salute and honor the graduates of the Class of 2025. 

 
You can take a picture in your classroom, office, or favorite spot on campus. By participating, you’re creating a wave of support for our graduates as they embark on their journey ahead. 

You can track the Wave Cap’s journey on social media using the hashtag #WaveCapWednesday. 
 
The Wave Cap’s final destination will be the 60th Commencement, where some of the best “waves” will be shared. Review photo and submission guidelines below.

 

Photo Guidelines

Departments, Faculty, Staff, and Students:
    • The photo must be taken vertically.
    • Participants must visibly hold the Wave Cap.
    • In group photos, the Wave Cap should be held by someone centered in the image.
    • Ensure the photo is clear and sharp, and the Wave Cap is in focus.
    • You can also have your photo taken with the Wave Cap in the breezeway on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through May 13.

 Submission Guidelines

Departments, Faculty, and Staff:
      • Group photo: Group_Department_WaveCap
      • Individual photo: YourName_Department_WaveCap
Students:
    • Post your photo on Instagram using # WaveCapWednesday and #KCC60, or DM your photo to @cunykcc
    • The Wave Cap will be available for sign-out from the Student Affairs office and available at select events on campus soon—follow @cunykcc for updates!
