We are all leaders! Leadership extends beyond titles and positions; it’s about making a meaningful difference, inspiring others, and driving positive change. Leadership Week is crafted to spark your enthusiasm for leadership, providing you with the tools and insights needed to advance both personally and professionally. By the end of the week, students will be ready to embrace leadership roles and build communities that value inclusive and impactful leadership. Food and drinks provided!!

Lunch will be provided!

Week Overview:

Day 1: Monday, October 21st, 12 PM – 1:30 PM / In the COVE (U-101A)

Unleash the SPARK in Your Leadership w/ Geo Derice

Learn how you can unleash the SPARK in your leadership using Geo’s signature 5-part framework, which demonstrates what it takes to become and believe in oneself as a leader. 

*Opportunity to take professional pictures with POPCAM available. *

 
Day 2:  Tuesday, October 22nd, 3 PM – 4 PM / In the COVE (U-101A)

You Are the Future: Advocating for Change w/ IGNITE

Your voice will create the future that you desire! Learn how to speak up and advocate for the things you want today to shape the life you desire.
 

Day 3: Wednesday, October 23rd, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM / In the COVE (U-101A)

Women’s Leadership Styles w/ Joy Osahon

Women in leadership often face unique challenges... overcoming biases and navigating barriers that can hinder their progress. Joy will show women diverse ways that they can self-advocate for themselves, take leadership roles in their future careers, and provide tips and tools for emotional and mental well-being as a leader.

Day 4: Thursday, October 24th, 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM / In the COVE (U-101A)

Stepping into your Greatness w/ Lavar Thomas

Lavar defines greatness as navigating life unapologetically from your core values and aligning them with vision, purpose, and action. Lavar will highlight leadership by talking about creating global impact and leading with confidence for communal change.


Day 5:
Friday, October 25th, 10:00AM – 12:00 PM / V-219

Leadership Development Seminar w/ Lavar Thomas

In Collaboration with Career Development & Experiential Learning

Lavar will explore how adopting a growth mindset can transform your approach to public speaking. Discover how embracing challenges and learning from feedback can enhance your confidence and effectiveness as a speaker, ultimately turning every presentation into an opportunity for growth and success.
