How will you use my unrestricted gift?

Annual fund gifts of all sizes, particularly unrestricted donations, are one way of providing critical support for the KCC Foundation.  These gifts enable the Foundation to use the funds for its greatest immediate needs.

Yes. Many alumni and friends designate their gifts for purposes or programs that are particularly meaningful to them. Please visit the Ways to Give Page to view gift opportunities.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex and Diner's Club.

There is no limit to how much (or little) you can give online.

A matching gift is a great way for a donor to increase his or her contribution to the Kingsborough Community College Foundation. Matching gifts are provided by a donor's employer (or his/her spouse's employer) to a nonprofit organization in an equal or greater amount to the donor's gift. Companies have various methods by which they can submit their matching gift requests to the KCC Foundation. These include: paper forms; online forms (which the donor can print from the internet); and phone verification systems. The Benefits or Human Resources Office of the donor's employer (or the donor's spouse's employer) will be able to provide necessary information on the company's Matching Gift Program and the method the company uses to process matching requests.

All donors receive a formal, personalized acknowledgement letter from Interim President Suri Duitch. In addition, you will be recognized in the College's Annual Report.

Yes. Please let us know if you wish to give anonymously.

The Kingsborough Community College Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You should consult with your tax attorney/advisor concerning the deductibility of your gift.

The KCC Annual Fund is a crucial source of funding that allows the KCC Foundation to meet its most pressing needs. Annual Fund mailings take place each fall.

A gift to the Kingsborough Community College Foundation in honor of a loved one is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a person who valued KCC. Please indicate on your donation form whether you are making your gift in honor or in memory of a specific person. When making a gift over the phone, please simply tell our representative the name of the person in whose honor or memory you are making your donation. If you are making your gift online, select the box that says, "This Gift is in Honor/Memory Of Someone Special" and proceed to fill out the requested information.

An endowment is an investment in the future of the Kingsborough Community College Foundation. When you use your charitable gift to establish an endowment, the gift is invested to provide spendable income for whatever specific purpose you have designated. The original principal (or gift) is never spent, and any investment return over allowed spending and fees is channeled back into the fund to keep it healthy and growing. Depending on what you intend your endowment to support, certain minimum endowment requirements apply.

Please contact the Office of College Advancement to discuss the wording of your bequest language. This will insure that the KCC Foundation will be able to use the gift as you intend.  Please consult your tax attorney or financial advisor for more information.

Once you complete your estate plan, please inform the Office of College Advancement. We would like to thank you for your generosity by inviting you to join The Beacon Society, our honorary society for alumni and friends of Kingsborough who have included the College in their estate planning. Your membership involves no dues, obligations or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.

Tax advantages will depend upon your unique financial situation. If you would like to learn more, please contact the Office of College Advancement. You should also contact your tax attorney or financial advisor for more information.

Though the Office of College Advancement can help you set up your gift, most estate-plan gifts will require the assistance of a professional financial or tax advisor.
