Apply for Graduation

March 4– May 15 is the filing period for the June 2026 degree.

To apply for your June degree, go to Academics under your Student Center and click on “Apply for Graduation”

If you do not apply for graduation, you will not be able to order your cap & gown

100 Days to Graduation

March 10 | 11:30am-2pm | Hall of Flags

You’re just 100 days away from crossing the stage at Commencement!  Join us to get your questions answered about graduation, take your graduation photo, inquire about transferring to a 4-year college, sign up for the KCC Alumni Association and speak to a Career Services representative.  Giveaways for all students with a graduation status.   

 

Kingsborough Tapestry Project 2026

Deadline for Award Eligibility

April 10

Students must file for graduation by April 10th in order to be eligible for an award, as well as applying for the salutatorian and valedictorian.  If you are selected for an award, you will be notified by the Faculty Awards Committee. 

 

Take Yearbook Photos

May 18, 19, 20 and 21 

11am-2pm | 3pm-6pm  | Room U213/214

The portrait sitting is free.  Thornton Studios will provide price information should you decide to order your portrait photos.  Appointments are not required, and cap & gowns will be available for graduation photos.  

Students will receive an email with details to obtain their Yearbook.


Graduation Ball

May 28 | 6pm – 10pm | MAC Lighthouse

Join us for a night filled with great food, music, dancing and fun!  Formal attire required (NO JEANS or SNEAKERS).  Dress to impress in shades of blue, white and gold colors!    

Tickets available in C-123 on May 1st.  KCC Students $10 and Guests $25 (CASH ONLY). 

Commencement Job Fair

Meet with potential employers to discuss various career and job opportunities.  Bring your resume!

Guest Tickets

June 8 - June 11 | 10am – 7pm | U113

Each graduate will receive four (4) guest tickets; no additional tickets will be provided.  All guests need a ticket including children.  Tickets are free of charge and are not available for purchase. 
Guest tickets are only available for pick up in person.  They will not be mailed or available electronically.


Grad Fair

Graduates pick up your Cap & Gown and Commencement tickets. Stay and decorate your cap afterwards! 

Meet with potential employers, take your graduation photo, get your last-minute graduation and transfer questions answered and sign up for the KCC Alumni Association.    

Graduation Cap Decorating

Bring your personality, creativity, and words of inspiration!  Come decorate your graduation cap to ensure you stand out on Commencement Day!  Supplies provided.

Pick Up Cap & Gown

Cap & gowns are free of charge and will be available for pick up with your KCC ID card.

61st Commencement Ceremony

June 18 | 11am | Coney Island Amphitheatre

8:30am - Graduates Check-In
9:00am - Venue Opens for Guests
10:30am - Graduates Begin to Walk into Venue
11:00am - Ceremony Begins

At the check-in area, graduates will receive their Tassel card.  This card must be presented so that the graduates' name is called as they cross the stage.  Grad photos will be taken as the graduates enter the venue.  Light snacks provided before the ceremony begins.
