Option 1: A student can sign up for either an in-person or online session in almost all KCC courses with a KLC tutor through TracCloud. The KLC offered content-based tutoring as well as writing tutoring.

Option 2: A student can sign up for tutoring using our partner site, Tutor.com by visiting our website.

Step 1: Go to https://kingsboroughcc.okta.com

Step 2: Enter your Username and Password (the same log-in credentials as your Kingsborough College email).

Step 3: Once logged in, click on “KCC TracCloud.”

Step 4: Click on “Schedule an Appointment.”

Step 5: In the schedule an appointment box:

a. Select the option that says, “Choose date and center.”

b. Select the class/subject you want to receive tutoring in.

c. Select the reason for tutoring (either Essay Reviews for writing help or General Tutoring for content help).

Step 7: Your KCC Email will receive a tutoring confirmation email with the appointment information. If it is an online session, you will receive the Zoom meeting link. If it is an in-person session, you should report to the room listed.

Almost all KCC courses are available for tutoring via the KLC or Tutor.com.

You can schedule up to four content sessions per week and two writing sessions per week. You also have 8 hours per month available to use on Tutor.com.

Students are encouraged to sign up on TracCloud using the directions posted. Sessions are available on a first-come first-served basis, and students are able to sign up for a one-time or weekly appointment based on their needs.

Walk‑in tutoring is available for Math courses, and the schedule is posted in L‑219. Although we do not have official walk‑in hours for Writing and Science courses, students may try to be seen as a walk‑in if a tutor is available. Walk‑in tutoring is based on availability and may not include a full hour; therefore, we strongly recommend making an appointment in advance.

Yes, the KLC offers both in-person and online tutoring each semester to meet your needs.

If a student is absent 2 consecutive times or 3 random times, the student will be dropped from tutoring. It is in the student’s best interest to email [email protected] or call the front desk and provide a valid reason for their absence in advance.

Our tutors are required to have a 3.5 GPA or higher, and have received an A in the course they are tutoring in. The tutors also come highly recommended by a faculty member and go through a rigorous hiring and training process. For certain courses, the tutor will be a professor or faculty member.
