Welcome Message

An investiture is a milestone in the life of a college—a time to honor our heritage, celebrate our community, and look forward with shared purpose. We invite students, faculty, alumni, and community partners to join us as we formally install Dr. Suri Duitch as the eighth president and launch a new era of access, achievement, and upward mobility for New Yorkers at Kingsborough Community College.

In City University of New York (CUNY) tradition, the medallion is a tangible link to the University's mission of providing a first-class education accessible to all New Yorkers. It is also a symbol of the authority and responsibility vested in the Office of the President and bears the official seal of the College. As such, it represents Kingsborough's commitment to academic excellence, the pursuit of truth, and enduring service to the City of New York.

About the President

Suri Duitch is the eighth president of Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn’s community college. Before becoming president in January 2024, Dr. Duitch built her career working in college access, adult education, workforce development, and other opportunity programs in New York City and New Orleans. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, an MSW from Hunter College, and a Ph.D. in urban education from the CUNY Graduate Center. Read Full Biography
