Biography
Professor Armstrong writes about film as a historical artifact. He has written about the director Robert Altman and is currently investigating the way films of the past have represented New York City. He teaches both classes in the composition sequence, focusing on theme-based writing on subjects such as food studies and demographic changes. In teaching English 30, he focuses on introducing the students to the dynamics of understanding poetry, drama, and fiction.
