Rob Pero Certificate of Achievement

Dear Program Coordinator, Guidance Counselor and Liaison:

The Kingsborough College College Now Program is offering The Rob Pero Certificate of Achievement Award. Each school may nominate up to four (4) College Now graduating senior students who have shown perseverance and demonstrated persistence in successfully completing Kingsborough College Now course(s).

The award winners will receive a $50 Barnes and Nobel Gift Card and a Certificate to be awarded at the school’s award ceremony or graduation. Attached is the flyer detailing the student’s requirements. To apply for the award, students need to complete and submit the following information via the goggle link.

  1. Student’s Name
  2. High School
  3. College Now classes completed
  4. College planning to attend in the fall
  5. Submit a response to two (2) questions.
    1. What advice would you give to a student thinking about taking a College Now class?
    2. How do you think taking College Now classes have prepared you for college in the fall?

Please have selected students submit the completed google form no later than Monday, May 4th.

Kingsborough Community College College Now: A Program for High School Students

The Rob Pero Certificate of Achievement Award 2026

The Rob Pero Certificate of Achievement is awarded to College Now graduating seniors who have persevered in their College Now classes and demonstrated persistence in successfully completing their course work.

Winners will receive a $50.00 Barnes and Nobel Gift Card.

Application deadline is Monday, May 4, 2026.

Requirements:

  1. Students must have a GPA of 75% or above in Kingsborough College Now courses.
  2. Students must be a graduating senior.
  3. Students must complete the google form to apply.
