College Now Fall 2026 Payroll Dates
August, 2026
Dear College Now Colleagues,
As you are tentatively scheduled to teach or work during the Fall 2026 semester, please review the payroll information below carefully.
Fall 2026 Payroll Dates
Most College Now instructional and administrative staff will receive compensation over ten payroll periods during the Fall 2026 semester:
- September 25, 2026
- October 9 and October 23, 2026
- November 6 and November 20, 2026
- December 4 and December 18, 2026
- January 1, January 15, and January 29, 2027
Important Payroll Notes
- Missing Initial Paycheck
If you do not receive your paycheck on the first scheduled pay date, please email Erika Delacruz at [email protected]. We will review your concern and respond promptly. - Late Start Assignments
Faculty who begin teaching more than two weeks after the official start of the semester may receive fewer paychecks, as compensation will be distributed across the remaining pay periods. - Student Development (SD 10/11) Faculty
Payroll processing for Student Development 10 and 11 instructors may begin later than that of other faculty members. Please contact our office via email if you have questions regarding your payroll schedule.
Change of Name, Address, or Other Personal Information
As a CUNY employee, your annual W-2 statement, which reflects both College Now and DOE earnings, will be issued by Kingsborough Community College and mailed to the address on file with the College.
If your personal information has changed since the previous semester, including your home address, telephone number, email address, or legal name, please complete the College Now Change of Personal Information Form included at the end of this packet and send to the College Now Office.
Upon receipt, an official Kingsborough Community College Change of Personal Information Form will be forwarded to you for completion.
Name Changes
Faculty who have legally changed their name must also visit the Kingsborough Community College Office of Human Resources and present:
- Original marriage license or other legal documentation supporting the name change
- Social Security card reflecting the new name
- Driver's license or other government-issued identification reflecting the new name
Calculating Your Pay
To estimate the gross amount of each paycheck, multiply the total course hours by your instructional pay rate and divide the result by the number of payroll periods applicable to your appointment.
Examples
- 3-credit course: 45 instructional hours
- 4-credit course: 60 instructional hours
In accordance with the PSC collective bargaining agreement, faculty teaching 3-credit and 4-credit courses also receive compensation for 15 office hours per course.
Student Development 10 and 11 instructors should calculate compensation using 15 instructional hours for each 1-credit course taught.
Faculty Development Meetings
Attendance at College Now Faculty Development meetings is a program requirement.
Faculty Development participation will be compensated in accordance with the current PSC collective bargaining agreement. Additional information is available at:
https://psc-cuny.org/ContractFinal Paycheck Requirements
Before final paychecks can be released, the Director of Collaborative Programs must certify receipt of all required end-of-semester materials, including:
- Final grades
- Attendance and grade rosters
- Assessment Data Forms (HUM 1 and SCI 1, where applicable)
- Final examinations
- Answer keys
Failure to submit required materials by the established deadline may result in a delay in the issuance of your final paycheck.
In accordance with College policy, all end-of-term materials must be submitted to your Program Coordinator within 72 hours of the final examination. Program Coordinators must then forward completed grade packets to the Kingsborough College Now Office for certification.
Pension Credit Information
It is our understanding that Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) Tier I members must generally work a minimum of 45 hours per year for at least three years (not necessarily consecutively) and complete 45 hours during their final year of full-time employment in order for College Now service to be pensionable.
Because eligibility requirements vary by retirement tier and individual circumstances, faculty are strongly encouraged to contact the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) directly to verify current pension regulations and requirements.
