Academic Advisement

Welcome to the Advisement Academies!

As a Kingsborough student, you are a part of one of our four Advisement Academies. Kingsborough’s Advisement Academies are designed to create supportive environments that guide students through academic-focused goal-setting and decision processes. Each Academy focuses on a group of academic majors and pulls together resources to assist students in learning about and interacting with their chosen paths in thoughtful and purposeful ways. Students are paired with an academy advisor who is dedicated to guiding students through major exploration, degree requirements, transfer and career planning and connections to campus resources. We’re more than course selection help, we’re your partner on the road to academic success!

*Students in specialized programs such as ASAP and College Discovery are supported by the individual program.

Create Your Transfer Plan!

Create your Transfer Plan on the CUNY Transfer Explorer website to begin transfer planning.  You can find detailed instructions on how to create a plan here. Don't forget to let your academic advisor know that you've filled out a transfer plan in T-Rex so you can discuss it.
