Don't Get it Twisted
Don't get it twisted

Dear KCC Students,

You have worked hard all academic year now we are almost at the end of the semester.  New York City and the rest of the world are more open than they were last year at this time.  The weather is good and getting better each day. Monday marked the unofficial start of summer and you are probably already out and about. And since you have received good grades all semester, you may have decided you don’t need to work as hard as you have been.  But don’t get it twisted;  one grade can make a difference in your overall performance, GPA and future. Now is not the time to take a break, so failures and incompletes are not options.  Final exams are around the corner and you need to give it all that you have. Check out the Kingsborough Learning Center https://www.kbcc.cuny.edu/KLC/index.html, form a study group with your classmates, set aside time to study and complete your final assignments.  You did not come this far to be knocked off your path.

Your goal is sight. I can’t say it enough it is important that you reach out to your advisor and register for classes.  Summer and Fall 2022 registration is now open https://www.kbcc.cuny.edu/session/It is important to register early so you can get the classes you need as well as the best schedule that meets your needs.  Don’t get it twisted; waiting until you are finished with classes, or until the last minute to register (like the day before classes start) is not a good idea.  You did not come this far to end your journey prematurely.

Along this journey you are on you have no doubt had incredible experiences in each of your classes. Now through June 10th you have the opportunity to complete an evaluation of your courses. https://www.kbcc.cuny.edu/StudentEvaluationsofTeaching/index.html

Student Evaluations of Teaching (SET) is the opportunity for you to have your voice heard by giving feedback to your professors.  The survey is anonymous. Don’t get it twisted; your voice is important to us.  Your feedback will help KCC improve the quality of our courses and instruction.

I want your path to success to be clear enough so you can get to your goal easily. Finish strong, register for class, have your voice heard and avoid detours, bumps in the road and the twists and turns that take you off your path.
