Emergency Medical Services
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Emergency Medical Services is Brooklyn’s first college-based Paramedic Program. The KCC Paramedic Program is currently under the auspices of the Nursing Department. Paramedic courses start every September. Prior to starting paramedic courses, you must already be a New York State certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). KCC offers EMT courses in fall and spring semesters. The course of study leading to the AAS degree takes at least two years. Additional classes may be necessary to complete the AAS degree.
